Description

This is called Tugtupite and it comes Narsaq, Kvanefjeldet, located in Ilímaussaq complex, Kvanefjeld Mountain,Greenland.
And This specimen is of high quality and very rare.

Tugtupite is one of the rarest minerals in the world and can only be found in 2 different places. It exists only in Narsaq,Greenland and in Quebec,Canada.
In Narsaq in Greenland Tugtupites are found at Kvanefjeld and Tasseq Slopes together with many other rare minerals such as
chkalovite, polylithionite, sodalite, all of which are highly fluorescent. Tugtupite was first found in 1957 and named and described in 1962.
Tugtupite is named after the wreck site Tuttup Attakorfia in southern Greenland. The Inuit name for the stone is Tuttu (reindeer blood).
Tugtupite is a stunning gemstone. Especially the dark red variant is very treasured. Tugtupite is a highly fluorescent mineral.
If lit with ultraviolet light, its color is intensified in the visible light.
As the Tugtupite absorbs the light and throws it back with a longer wavelength, which can be seen with the naked eye.

This specimen weighs about 7.7 grams.
Length is 24" in.
Width is 31" in.
And its height is 9mm
